Today, as the global demand for masks soars, there are up to 129 billion masks discarded every month. However, masks on the market are generally made of plastic materials, and it takes more than 450 years to decompose. It is with this understanding that reMatter sought to create a better alternative, creating Hong Kong’s first biodegradable mask. These masks are much more sustainable compared to regular ones, as they are completely biodegradable even in oxygen free landfill areas. To further reduce their impact, all their mask packaging is also fully biodegradable. Customers can shop from ReMatter's online shop or visit their popup store in Harbour city
